Hello
It's hard to believe that there
are thousands of Internet surfers out there with nothing better
to do with their money who ... wait for it ... actually donated
to a website to help a woman pay off her $20,000 shopping debt
... simply because she asked gullible visitors to do so!
Yes, this a true story of a New York, Bloomingdales store shopaholic
with ... erm ... blooming cheek.
Shrewdly tapping into the Internet's never-ending novelty factor,
the woman (who shall not be named, otherwise you might just wander
off this site and go looking for it) set up her own web site,
put out her cyber-hand and has literally raked it in. Apparently,
money is now no object to her for the long, foreseeable future.
Mmm ... maybe Looking-Glass should set up a site asking you to
adopt furry little space animals abandoned from the planet Zaarg
at a $100 a time ... !
But seriously though.
Meanwhile, a voluntary mission like Looking-Glass and VeggieGlobal
- and the many charitable causes this site represents - gets by
on a frayed shoestring ... (and not bought at Bloomingdales either!)
But Looking-Glass won't get
too wound-up about some people's more-money-than-sense kind of
web-surfing behaviour. Instead, these sites will continue to work
hard to provide a balanced retreat - of substance and resource
for true global compassionates - who hopefully have more sense
to donate towards projects that create a positive impact on the
planet.
In fact, on this page you'll find
ways to "donate" to this cause without costing you a
penny.
But of course the most direct method
of helping is to simply donate

humanitarian and animal causes at ALL levels of need. And this
is achieved through the most powerful electronic world healing
medium of all - It's in your home ... and it's called the Internet.
Whether it's an internationally recognized mine clearing charity
or a lone individual in a faraway place looking for a home for
a pet they can no longer afford to keep, the Looking-Glass and
VeggieGlobal mission is here to enable communication and interaction
between all causes large or small - So, whether
it's a popular, lottery funded charity promoted by national networks
or a small shelter in a poor obscure community, this site
makes sure the lesser known heroes of compassion also get the
exposure they need ... and deserve.

But please remember, this site can't exist without your donations

Looking-Glass and VeggieGlobal also work together with a growing

Indirect Contributions
Indirect contributions of just a
few pennies can be made by using any of our shopping links to
many online shops (like Amazon and John Lewis for example) You
can find these links around all the planets and moons of Looking-Glass
and VeggieGlobal. When you buy something the sites receive a few
pennies in commission from the sales. This costs you nothing ...
the commission is paid to the sites in quarterly periods by the
online merchant.
