in the works.

This sounds like a great system! Currently the only way
to tell if some additives (like "Emulsifier 471") are animal-
or plant-derived is by contacting the manufacturer.

I see no reason for manufacturers not to do this unless
they are ashamed of their products.

I'm a vegan, and seeing labels that read "vegan" that
still have dairy or gelatin in them can get SO annoying. This
is SUCH a good campaign and I support it 100%!

This would be a great law.. it would make my life as a vegan
close to effortless. Enough said, it should be done. Now.

I don't consider myself a vegetarian, because I am a Vegan!
We need labels, too!

Being a vegan, I'm used to reading everything on food labels.
The NOVA Key would make things so much easier while I am food
shopping..

As a vegan, I would greatly appreciate knowing at a glance
whether a product contains animal derived ingredients. There
are serveral ingredients that can be from either plant or
animal sources, and I would like to be able to differentiate
without having to contact the manufacturer myself. Yes for
the NOVA Key

Good idea - vegetarian food in restaurants is particularly
suspicious and needs better guidelines and training of chefs.
Incorrect food labelling should be an offence, as per the
trade's description act.
