dream submitted 22 July 2003 IT'S LIFE, BUT NOT AS WE WANT IT My recurring dream is always set at night. There are alien spaceships in the sky ready to attack earth. My sister says that there is nothing wrong. With my best friend we have to find out how to stop them attacking. All the streets are clear and we are the only people in the car driving round (I CAN'T DRIVE). It is very frightening for me. Next we are in in flat and a man is stood looking at me. He says that I must not be frightend and let it happen. I say I will not. He then speaks in a funny language but changes to English and says all the men are armed and dangerous. Kill them. I say I am not armed or dangerous. The man then says to me I have special powers and the dream I am currently dreaming now is a premonition. It will happen one day because I can see the future. It will happen one day he says again. Then I wake up extremely scared and am unable to go back to sleep for some hours.. dream submitted 2 feb 2003 COLLEGE DROPOUT Dear Looking-Glass I keep having a dream about me dropping out of college and me marrying a rich man. I was about 20 years old and he was 25. I have never seen him before in my life. He is a son of a stock broker. dream submitted 21 JAN 2003 DENTIST'S TALE I have this dream and it is coming to me nearly every night now. I keep dreaming that I am going to visit my dentist. My dentist is always the same person, but the surgery changes and so does the surroundings. Last night my dream was about my teeth. I was going to visit my dentist, but needed to visit my horses and make sure they were all safe and stabled before my appointment. Before I knew what was going on, I was in a mansion house, surrounded by interior designers, then playing a real life game on a game board and then on a cliff looking down in to the sea staring at a boat that was passing by. The next scene of the dream was a horse race that some friends were in attendance to. The next scene I was in a farm house, but the farm was infected with a virus and I needed to wash myself in an in-house car washing machine? Once leaving the farm, I was running down the country lanes and offered a lift by some older gentlemen. I passed a field with a horse in it. It was a horse of mine that I used to ride and look after. She looked really healthy. Then I was in my dentist's having my teeth removed to install the new crowns that he made for me. My new teeth looked really good, really white and perfect. But the surgery was housed in a large old building that used to be a home. I left the surgery and found my friends living in a caravan near a park. I went inside and was told I needed to have a shower before I could go any further. I proceeded to the shower, undressed, took a shower with a friend of mine in the bathroom staring at me. I did not feel uncomfortable with it. Just a little dazed. Dream ends. I keep having this dream and it is becoming more frequent. I would love to know what the reason is or what this dream means? dream submitted 13 jan 2003 SPIDER DREAMS Dear Looking-Glass I have this re-occurring dream for the last several years and find it difficult to interpret it. They vary slightly from each other but basically are about spiders on me or around me in my room. When I dream the spiders are crawling on me, I wake up in fright violent brushing them off my body and actually searching my bed for any more, as if they were real! For the first time last night, I dream't of a light to golden looking spider that became invisible whilst I looked at it and then became visible again! I wasn't at all afraid of it and it actually felt it may be of a spiritual meaning and I warmed to having it around. There has been an occassion or two where when a spider was on me, it bit me and I woke up in fright. The spiders are always around me within the same room. I never see them spinning or weaving a web or hanging from a web line. Just the spider crawling around. Mostly they are quite large. Normally not fierce looking, but I'm afraid of them when they get too close or on me. I don't like spiders in real life but am not particularly afraid of them either. I've read that they can mean the acquiring of money, legacy. Also a warning against a temptation or habit, which may apply to me. Is there something more specific that may assist me to better understand these ongoing dreams of Spiders I'm having. I have these dreams at least 1-2 times a week. dream submitted 28 dec 2002 PORCH GREETING One night when I was on my porch...thinking about the guy I was in love with, he came walking down the street to say hi... Now I have this dream at least twice a week...exactly as it happened... I still have feelings for him...and we still talk.. but he is so vague about how he feels towards me ... Do you feel that your life is going through a rather repetitious stage at the moment? Sometimes, during repetitious times, dreams can become so too … a kind of counterbalance of something that you desire or feel emotional about. It represents a longing to escape on to a diferent life path… and of course a relationship, good or bad, can do just that. But be patient, because as your lifestyle changes in its natural course, so might those dreams change … The experience you mention is also a call for recognition or acceptance with this guy. But the one thing that worries me is that you say he responds vaguely…. And this mannerism likely reflects on how things would remain if you actually had a relationship with him … Vagueness during this stage of getting to know someone more deeply is not a good sign … It sounds like one of those unreadable personality traits … which is obviously already frustrating you. Vagueness is often a sign of unreliability and even unfaithfulness in the long-term. You sound far too positive and colorful a person to become caught into an emotionally debilitating dreamscape. Time is the greatest test of unresolved love attractions. If it’s naturally meant to be … it will happen without any pre-defined plan or dream-guide.
