dream submitted 25 june 2003 MISSING YOU? Dear Looking-Glass, I keep having a dream that involves my ex-boyfriend and I. We tend to get pretty intimate or sexual, and I dream about it everynight. It's not always the same dream, but it's very similar. Please, tell me what it means.. In some cases it can represent a miscalculated parting - particularly if your relationship finished a long time ago and the dreams continue. Misjudged separations may simply happen due to the trials and tribulations of activity and experimentation especially when you are younger … One of you gets "bored" or scared of a potentially long-term relationship - the other has a shallow crush on someone else and messes everything up. It's unusual that younger people might find a long term soul mate before experiencing more of life, but on very rare occasions it can happen. Perhaps it just wasn't the right time for you both. However, the fact that you indicate most of these dreams are sexually driven suggests that it may be linked to physical reminiscence rather than a deeper emotional attachment. But don't despair though … there is plenty of time ahead for you both and your paths may perhaps cross again … then you can see if it's really meant to be. I have never seen him before in my life. He is a son of a stock broker. dream submitted 28 dec 2002 PORCH GREETING One night when I was on my porch...thinking about the guy I was in love with, he came walking down the street to say hi... Now I have this dream at least twice a week...exactly as it happened... I still have feelings for him...and we still talk.. but he is so vague about how he feels towards me ... I'm confused The Dreaming Tree Says ... Do you feel that your life is going through a rather repetitious stage at the moment? Sometimes, during repetitious times, dreams can become so too … a kind of counterbalance of something that you desire or feel emotional about. It represents a longing to escape on to a diferent life path… and of course a relationship, good or bad, can do just that. But be patient, because as your lifestyle changes in its natural course, so might those dreams change … The experience you mention is also a call for recognition or acceptance with this guy. But the one thing that worries me is that you say he responds vaguely…. And this mannerism likely reflects on how things would remain if you actually had a relationship with him … Vagueness during this stage of getting to know someone more deeply is not a good sign … It sounds like one of those unreadable personality traits … which is obviously already frustrating you. Vagueness is often a sign of unreliability and even unfaithfulness in the long-term. You sound far too positive and colorful a person to become caught into an emotionally debilitating dreamscape. Time is the greatest test of unresolved love attractions. If it’s naturally meant to be … it will happen without any pre-defined plan or dream-guide.
