dream submitted 10 AUG 2003 The Legend of WATERCITY No, I haven't added things to make this dream more storylike, I actually took things AWAY to make it not so extremely long. I am not present in the dream, I am just an observer. A long time ago a ship was lost at sea. Three of the sailors survived and were washed up on a strange shore. The shore turned out to belong to a great island, inhabited by a most wonderful people. The people are the most good, generous and warm people ever to have existed. They have built their entire civilization on this island, a civilization which reminds me of ancient Greece, only a lot more beautiful. The city is built in light blue and white marble and is the most fantastic city ever. The people here are not human, though they look like it. They have no need for food, they only need water to survive. To be more exact they need a small particle which exists in the seawater. It is a matriarcal society, and there is a young emperess on the throne. The three sailors are the first from the utside world to have come here. They are welcomed by the people and are allowed to stay there for the rest of their lives. And so they stay there, and live their lives there. They get to know the emperess, and one of the sailors becomes her lover. Another of the men have a romantic relationship to one of the emperess' female bodyguards. Now everything is not perfect for ever. There has come a new element to the island, the element of evil. A man dressed in black robes has come to the island to try to take over and spread evil and misery. He wins over to his side an alchemist (also female) and gets her to create a liquid that will, if it gets out into the water,destroy the particles they need to survive. The Dark Man threatens to release the liquid if he is not given the throne. The three sailors try to help the situation by fighting the Dark Man and taking the liquid, but they fail. The emperess doesn't have much choice. The Dark Man has gathered the people in the great amphitheatre of the city. The amphitheatre is blue and white, about three times as big as the Colloseum, and softer in its form. It is now full with people. Up on a balchony awaits the Dark Man and the alchemist. In her hand she holds a glass vial with the dangerous liquid in it. In a room behind the balchony is the emperess, her servants, bodyguards and the three sailors. While the emperess is being dressed in her ceremonial clothes they all desperately look for a solution to the horrible dilemma. They don't find any, and after a while they step out on the balchony. The bodyguard goes first, the the emperess. As they come out an assasin from behind the alchemist fires at the empererss with some sort of weapon. He misses, but destroys two of the marble pillars that holds up the roof. The people wait in silence. The Dark Man holds out a hand towards the emperess. If she takes it she hands over the power to evil and their civilization will be forever changed. There is a moment of stillness. Then the emperess says : "No" The alchemist drops the vial. It falls to the marble floor and is crushed. A great but horrible shadow moves about from the island and covers the entire Earth. In a moment all water is changed, the life-giving particle is destroyed. It is as if time is changed, a thousand years happen within days. The beautiful civilization is ruined, the people killed, the island falls into parts and sinks in the ocean. The last part that remains is the ground around the ruins of the amphitheater. It stands out of the ocean as a cliff, the sides slowly falling apart. It is the most beautiful but also horrible sight one can imagine. In the roaring waves of the ocean the three sailors fight for their lives, one of them seemingly unconscious. Their grief is inhuman. It is as if there is no reason to live,everything that was beautiful is dead, the love of their lives are dead, everything is dead. I feel what they feel, and it is as if my heart would burst out of sorrow. The man whose girlfriend was the bodyguard tries to help his friend to stay alive, holds them out of the water, while crying hard. I know he will survive. This story is the story of his life, and he must survive to tell the story. On a beach somewhere in the world stands a horse. On the horse sits the Dark Man and looks out over the ocean, enjoying his creation. This is nothing supernatural or un-quantifiable, but simply the way dreams are channelled between the physical and non-physical - on a sub-quantum level. dream submitted 21 JAN 2003 DENTIST'S TALE I have this dream and it is coming to me nearly every night now. I keep dreaming that I am going to visit my dentist. My dentist is always the same person, but the surgery changes and so does the surroundings. Last night my dream was about my teeth. I was going to visit my dentist, but needed to visit my horses and make sure they were all safe and stabled before my appointment. Before I knew what was going on, I was in a mansion house, surrounded by interior designers, then playing a real life game on a game board and then on a cliff looking down in to the sea staring at a boat that was passing by. The next scene of the dream was a horse race that some friends were in attendance to. The next scene I was in a farm house, but the farm was infected with a virus and I needed to wash myself in an in-house car washing machine? Once leaving the farm, I was running down the country lanes and offered a lift by some older gentlemen. I passed a field with a horse in it. It was a horse of mine that I used to ride and look after. She looked really healthy. Then I was in my dentist's having my teeth removed to install the new crowns that he made for me. My new teeth looked really good, really white and perfect. But the surgery was housed in a large old building that used to be a home. I left the surgery and found my friends living in a caravan near a park. I went inside and was told I needed to have a shower before I could go any further. I proceeded to the shower, undressed, took a shower with a friend of mine in the bathroom staring at me. I did not feel uncomfortable with it. Just a little dazed. Dream ends. I keep having this dream and it is becoming more frequent. I would love to know what the reason is or what this dream means? Your teeth, and washing! Two vital signs. Are you happy with your appearance? Do you worry constantly about your animals? Are you a perfectionist?
